Barcelona

I was not satisfied to go to Barcelona, it didn't inspired me. It happens, some places do not inspire you and nothing else. However 'finally, I always end up surrender because I want to see the whole world and even if a place does not attract me, it ends up that I remain fascinated. And so 'it was.and I my friends we went in April and we were a bit' unlucky, 5 days was nearly always bad weather. We rented an apartment on Avenida Diagonal, namely behind the Sagrada Familia, point that, seeing it every day, more 'times each day, we decided to NOT get into it! From the outside is impressive, gives the idea of ​​majesty. The first day we flew in Park Guell, with all the decorations of Gaudi ', the longest bench  in Europe (the balcony) and a view of the whole city!The art is truly unique in Barcelona, entering Casa Batllo ', be sure to follow the audio guide it makes you so fascinate' that you hope that the floors will never ends! At the grocery store instead wander around the market Bouqueria, there are tastings and snacks, and the arrangement of the fruit is spectacular, you will be hit by a flood of colors, and fruits that you have never seen! I also recommend strongly to take a ride on the cable car if you do not suffer from vertigo, you take directly from the entrance of metro green, Parallel stop, takes you high on the mountain and then back down you encounter the magic fountain, which sounds and colors attracts thousands of tourists every day! Non ero affatto convinta di andare a Barcellona,non mi ispirava. Capita,alcuni posti non ti ispirano e basta. Pero' infondo,finisco sempre per cedere perchè voglio vedere tutto il mondo e anche se non un posto non mi attira,finisce che ne rimango affascinata. E cosi' è stato,io e le mie amiche siamo andate ad aprile e siamo state un po' sfortunate,su 5 giorni è stato quasi sempre brutto tempo. Abbiamo affittato un appartamento sull'Avenida Diagonal, precisamente dietro alla Sagrada Familia, tant'è che,vedendola tutti i giorni,piu' volte al giorno ,abbiamo deciso di NON entrarci! Dall'esterno è impressionante,da l'idea di maestosità. Il primo giorno siamo partite da Park Guell, con tutte le decorazioni di Gaudi',la panchina piu' lunga d'Europa(la balconata ) e una vista su tutta la città! L'arte a barcellona è davvero singolare , entrando in Casa Battlo', assicuratevi di seguire l'audioguida,ti fa appassionare cosi' tanto che speri che i piani non finiscano mai! A fare la spesa invece recatevi nel mercato della Bouqueria,non mancano assaggi e stuzzichini ,e la disposizione della frutta è spettacolare,verrete investiti da una marea di colori , e frutti che non avete mai visto! Vi consiglio anche vivamente di fare un giro sulla teleferica se non soffrite di vertigini, si prende direttamente dall'entrata della metro verde,alla fermata Parallel,vi porta in alto,sul monte e poi riscendendo incontrate la fontana magica,che con suoni e colori attira ogni giorno migliaia di turisti! Che dire...di Barcellona,in pochissimi giorni ho cercato di vedere tutto ma è uno di quesi posti sulla mia lista dove affianco ho annotato
 " tornero'".

Cyprus - Enjoy the ride

Because this is Cyprus, a dream. It is not at all close to Italy as everyone thinks and is not part of Greece, as everyone thinks. I've lived in Nicosia, the last and only divided capital in Europe. In fact, almost half of the island is the territory occupied by the Turks, there is a real border, where passing you enter the Turkish Cyprus, which is really another world. The landscape of this island is beautiful, white beaches, clear water and a climate of a fairy tale. In one year I put a light coat only in December, and it was too much, in fact, from February I started to go to sea.Make snorkeling in Cyprus was a great experience, the depths are colorful and full of flora, fauna and artifacts. A lot of places of interest are on the island, starting from the main cities, Nicosia where you cansee the frontier, and various museums, Limassol where it plays a Carnival with floats and costumes like Rio, Paphos with the various sites dedicated to the birth of Aphrodite. Cyprus is above all a site for holiday with friends, in Ayia Napa throughout the season there are streets with pubs and clubs every step, and the small town never sleeps! I lived one year in Cyprus, I met fabulous people, I've seen crazy places. If I ever recommend a trip to someone I would say CYPRUS, without any doubt!



Descrivere Cipro in un post,riassumento un anno intero di vita lì è quasi impossibile. Provero' a farvi immaginare questa terra meravigliosa con poche parole,sperando che venga valorizzata e considerata di più come una meta per vacanze da sogno. Perchè questa è Cipro, un sogno. Non è affatto vicina all'italia come tutti pensano e non fa parte della Grecia,come tutti pensano. Io ho vissuto a Nicosia ,l'unica e ultima capitale divisa d'Europa. Quasi metà dell'isola infatti è territorio occupato dai turchi, vi è un vero è proprio confine,dove passando si entra nella Cipro turca,che è davvero un altro mondo. Il paesaggio di quest'isola è meraviglioso,spiagge bianche,acqua trasparente e un clima da favola. In un anno ho messo un cappottino leggero solo a Dicembre,ed era anche troppo ,infatti da febbraio ho ricominciato ad andare al mare. Fare immersione a Cipro è stata una grande esperienza, i fondali sono colorati e pieni di flora, fauna e reperti. Tantissimi i luoghi di interesse su tutta l'isola,partendo dalle città principali, Nicosia dove si puo' ammirare il confine e vari musei, Limassol dove si svolge un Carnevale con carri e travestimenti da far invidia a Rio,Paphos con i vari siti dedicati alla nascita di Afrodite. Cipro è sopratutto un luogo per vacanze con amici, ad Ayia Napa in tutta la stagione ci sono strade con pub e discoteche ogni passo,e la piccola cittadina non dorme mai!! Ho vissuto un anno favoloso a Cipro, ho conosciuto persone favolose,ho visto luoghi pazzeschi. Se dovessi mai consigliare un viaggio a qualcuno direi CIPRO ,senza ombra di dubbio!

Istanbul or Costantinopoli?

Istanbul is wonderful, I landed at night, on November 8th. I celebrated midnight (9th is my birthday) into the taxi, but it doesn't matter. I was in the'most charming city I have ever seen! Istanbul is the perfect combination between east and west, the lights are perfect. I I lodged in a hostel, close to the Galata Tower. I was close to the river, which cuts through the city, connected by several bridges. Transport is efficient but expensive, it is advisable to take a taxi, fast and cheap.The main focus is on the mosques, Santa Sofia is  beautiful, like being in a video game, it all seems surreal, even the clouds seem positioned on purpose to make it amazing! In the Grand Bazaar then, you can find everything, soaps, spices and even the leeches! They still use them as a remedy for rheumatism and other small pains. Essential then the kebab, typical and really cheap, with 2 lire (about 1 euro) you can eat a kebab small but nourishing! Even there 'I have got a tattoo to remember a city that I have loved from the first second to the last, which surprised me more and more' and that made ​​me fall in love!




Istanbul è meravigliosa, sono atterrata di notte, l'8 Novembre . Ho festeggiato la mezzanotte (il 9 è il mio compleanno) in taxi, ma poco contava. Ero nella città piu' affascinante che avessi mai visto! Istanbul è il perfetto mix tra oriente e occidente , le luci sono perfette,studiate ma libere. Io alloggiavo in un ostello , vicino alla Torre di Galata. Ero vicino al fiume,che taglia la città,collegata da vari ponti. I trasporti sono efficienti ma costosi,conviene prendere il taxi ,veloce ed economico. La principale attenzione è rivolta alle moschee , Santa Sofia è bellissima,sembra di stare in un videogioco ,sembra tutto surreale,anche le nuvole sembrano posizionate apposta per creare stupore! Nel Gran Bazar poi, potete trovare di tutto, saponi, spezie e persino le sanguisughe! Loro le usano ancora come rimedio per reumatismi e altri piccoli dolori. Irrinunciabile poi il kebab,tipico e davvero economico ,con 2lire (1euro circa) puoi mangiare un kebab piccolo ma sostanzioso! Anche li' ho fatto un tatuaggio,per ricordare una città che ho amato dal primo secondo all'ultimo,che mi ha sorpreso sempre di piu' e che mi ha fatta innamorare!

London II - Love and Hate

The title of my least posts on London comes from a tattoo that I decided to make, right in London in the heart of Camden town. I love this tattoo is an ambigram, _ "love" or "hate" according to the perspective from which you read it. My second time in London in fact... was immediately love! Finally the sun appeared between the Londoners dark clouds  and everything seemed to scream fun! I went back to England in August, especially for the Carnival of Portobello, a sort of parade, as in Rio, with food and Caribbean traditions, costumes, dances and music in every street.Everything took place in Portobello Road, in the popular area of the movie "Notting Hill" (I also discovered that the library, that one in the film, it is actually a shoe store) The party lasted two days ... two long days at the rhythm of salsa. Another funny thing that I wanted to try was to cross the pedestrian crossing of the famous Beatleas album "Abbey Road", I have to say that the scene was surreal, many people at the side of the road crossing, trying to snap the "same album's picture " _ hundreds of cars trying to pass through and trumpeted to the tourists! There are a thousand opportunities and things to do in a city like London ... if I were you, I'd buy a ticket already!

Il titolo di questi miei post su Londra derivano da un tatuaggio che ho deciso di fare,proprio a Londra ,nel quartiere di Camden town. Adoro questo tatuaggio, è un ambigramma, e leggi "amore" o "odio" a seconda della prospettiva dalla quale lo leggi. La mia seconda volta a Londra infatti...è stato subito amore! Finalmente il sole ha fatto capolino tra le cupe nuvole londinesi e tutto sembrava gridare allegria! Sono tornata in Inghilterra ad Agosto, appositamente per il Carnevale di Portobello , una sorta di parata, come a Rio , con cibi e usanze caraibiche,costumi , danze e tanta musica in ogni stradina. Tutto cio' si è svolto a Portobello road ,nella conosciuta zona del film "Nothing hill" (ho anche scoperto che quella libreria, quella del film, in realtà è un negozio di scarpe) La festa è durata due giorni...due lunghi giorni al ritmo di salsa. Un'altra cosa divertente che volevo sperimentare era attraversare le strisce pedonali del noto album dei Beatleas "Abbey road" ,devo dire che la scena era surreale. tantissime persone al ciglio della strada che attraversavano,tentando di farsi scattare la "stessa foto dell'album" e centinaia di macchine che tentavano di passare e strombazzavano ai turisti! Ci sono mille opportunità e cose da fare in una città come Londra...se fossi in voi,comprerei già il biglietto!

London part I - Hate and love

Do you know when you associate a city with a color? Well, I've always thought about London combined with blue, blue postcards of Big Ben, roads with blue lights, a climate ... blue,always! When I first arrived in London in December 2011, few days before the New Year, the city was anything but blue! The color that I could think of (and I was reminded all the time of my trip) was grey.Winter is definitely the wrong season for those who want to visit London, but can not stand the cold climate, it seemed to being locked in a freezer. The first impression of the city hasn't been very positive. Impressive yes, with wonderful constructions , but it doesn't left that spark, what you feel in a place that you like and where you would come back again.Harrods, the mall, pulled me in a good mood even though it was more recommend look and not buy because of the prices! Something that I really liked however, was the set of three most 'popular attractions. The Madame's Tussand, which is actually fine, interactive and fun to visit, even if it's better to go in a group or join a random group to be faster. The London Eye, and I'm afraid of heights even if I look down stairs, but there you feel like in an elevator, very very safe! Finally, the Sea Life, the  adjacent aquarium, really cute! Moving by metro then, is really easy, there are maps everywhere and making the Oyster card you can travel how much you want. It has the size of a credit card in blue color, which is loaded with different types of electronic tickets (single ride, daily, weekly, monthly etc..) The first impression, however, is not the one that matters most and even myself, that I hadn't  loved London I changed my mind so organize a nice trip in England and wait for the second part " London II-Love and Hate!"





Avete presente quando associate ad una città un colore? Bene, io ho sempre pensato a Londra abbinata al blu, cartoline del Big Ben blu , strade con luci blu, un clima...blu insomma. Appena arrivata a Londra a dicembre del 2011, pochi giorni prima di capodanno, la città era tutt'altro che blu! Il colore che mi veniva in mente (e che mi è venuto in mente tutto il tempo del mio soggiorno) è stato il grigio.Un periodo decisamente sbagliato;l'inverno, per chi vuole visitare Londra ma non sopporta il clima gelido , sembrava di stare chiusi in un freezer. La prima impressione della città non è stata molto positiva. Imponente si, con delle costruzioni meravigliose si,ma non mi aveva lasciato quel brivido, quello che provi in un posto che ti piace e dove vorresti tornare. Harrods,il centro commerciale, mi ha tirata su di morale anche se era piu' consigliabile guardare e non comprare dato i prezzi! Una cosa che mi è piaciuta molto invece è stato il tris di attrazioni piu' famose,possiamo dire. Il museo delle Cere, che è davvero grande,interattivo e divertente da visitare,anche se conviene andare in gruppo o tentare di aggregarsi a qualche comitiva per non fare file chilometriche. Il London Eye ,e io soffro di vertigini anche se mi affaccio dalle scale,ma li' ti senti come in un ascensore molto molto sicuro!Infine il Sea life, l'acquario situato affianco alla ruota,carino davvero! Muoversi in metro poi, è di una facilità unica,ci sono mappe ovunque e facendo la Oyster 
card ci si sposta quando e quanto si vuole. Ha il formato di una carta di credito di colore blu, che viene caricata con diversi tipi di biglietti elettronici (di corsa semplice, giornalieri, settimanali, mensili etc.) La prima impressione comunque,non è quella che conta e io stessa,che non avevo amato Londra mi sono ricreduta quindi organizzate una bella vacanza e aspettate la seconda parte" London II -Love and Hate !"

Well...fasten it strong. Let me introduce myself, my name is Alessandra and I love sweets, tattoos, any kind of music and Travels. I admit I was lucky, my father put me on a plane at 12 years old (even though I had just seen Final Destination and I was terrified) and since then ,I've never quit. Ebbene si...allacciatele forte. Mi presento, mi chiamo Alessandra e amo i dolci, i tatuaggi, la musica di ogni genere e i viaggi. Devo ammettere di essere stata fortunata,mio padre mi ha messo sul primo aereo a 12 anni (nonostante avessi appena visto Final Destination e fossi piu' che terrorizzata) e da allora non ho piu' smesso. In questo blog tentero' di coinvolgervi in questa mia passione, magari dandovi qualche spunto sui luoghi da visitare in futuro!
Il nome del blog deriva dal fatto che di solito non porto più di una valigia con me,preferisco andare "vuota" e tornare "piena" per avere ancora più ricordi della mia vacanza! E tu? Com'è la tua valigia ideale?
